A couple of months ago my friend requested a robot puzzle for her 7 year old nephew for his birthday in February.  So the other day I sat down and designed one of my 3d puzzles into a robot. I wanted it to be challenging because of his age without being too difficult that he would become frustrated.  I think I found a perfect balance between the two of them.  I shared the design with my friend and got the go ahead to make the puzzle so I did.  I used paints that were pearlized to create a metallic effect.  I think it turned out so well I have decided to include it in my children's 3D Puzzle collection.  Here's more info on the puzzle.

Name Children's Wooden Robot 3D Puzzle
Details This puzzle was handmade in the USA. I made this wooden robot puzzle from a solid piece of Poplar Hardwood, a durable wood that rarely splinters if broken. I sanded it smooth and painted the 3d puzzle with non toxic, water based acrylic paints and sprayed with Krylon's triple thick crystal clear glaze. This wooden puzzle contains 36 metallic colored pieces and stands 12.75" by 9" wide. When piecing together this puzzle children are practicing valuable skills and abilities such as persistence and adaptable thinking. Children also learn suggestive and deductive reasoning, abstract thinking, categorizing, problem solving and classifying. It's a thought provoking puzzle without being too difficult. This puzzle does contain several small pieces that present a choking hazard and is not intended for children who still mouth pieces. I would recommend this puzzle for children ages four to seven.
Price $20.00

A couple of days ago I received this note from one of my customers along with a picture of her child completing her new puzzle.  So I thought I would share it with you.

Thank you very much. I'm super happy with my name puzzles. My daughter loves her Phoebe puzzle and I can't wait to give my niece Sadie her's. Thank you again! -Debbie
